Things to do before the clinic:

Things to do before the clinic: Discuss the following with a parent (from requirement 1a) in the depth and manner that your parent chooses: AIDS, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes. These will not be discussed in class. Note to parents: Both positive and negative views on immunization will be discussed.

Field Trip:  Meet at Mullenix Building for transportation via private vehicle to Karcher Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (Port Orchard near the VA Hospital) and Kitsap County Public Health office (downtown Bremerton in the Dicks building). Parents are welcomed to drive their own Scouts and join us.
Field trip requirements:  Please wear long pants and closed toed shoes. Ms. Kishner of the Public Health office has prepared a worksheet to assist you in your research prior to the field trip.

  1. Bring your signed Scout handbook.  6a is a rank requirement as well.
  2. Water filter, if you have one.

Students who are prepared should be able to earn the badge with one day of discussion (Monday) plus the required field trips (Tuesday).  Field Trips for requirements 5a and 7 will be taken on Tuesday, December 22. Please sign up for them separately.
